CareLink Council
of Advisors
Advisory Councils work with local Area Agencies on Aging (AAAs) like CareLink to develop and coordinate community services for older people. The council’s responsibilities include:
- Representing the interests of older adults
- Reviewing and commenting on community programs and policies that affect older adults
- Helping the organization carry out the objectives of the Older Americans Act
- Communicating the needs and concerns of older people to the organization
The council is a key link between CareLink and the community. The group works with staff, oversight committees, and community leaders.
