Free Classes for Seniors with Diabetes, Chronic Pain
Take charge of your life by learning how to control your diabetes and/or chronic pain with these free, six-week courses for men and women 60+ years. Both courses will be taught in conjunction with UAMS at Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church located at 4823 Woodlawn Ave. in Little Rock.

Beginning Feb. 27, classes will meet every Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. - 11 a.m. through April 3 in room C236.
Participants will learn:
- how to lower blood sugar
- about A1c
- what to eat
- hyperglycemia v. hypoglycemia
- the cause of feet numbness
- how to deal with neuropathy
- how to prevent complications
Chronic Pain Management
Beginning Feb. 28, classes will meet every Thursday from 1:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. through April 4. RSVP by Monday, Feb. 25.
Participants will learn how to:
- create a pain management plan
- create strategies for living with chronic pain
- reduce symptoms
- improve quality of life
