Human Resources Technician

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or 3 years human resources experience
  • Word processing skills and database skills
  • Typing 50 wpm

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Knowledge of employment law related to FMLA, ADA, and unemployment
  • Ability to gather and compile information
  • Ability to organize and coordinate processes and activities
  • Ability to process materials in a timely manner
  • Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing
  • Ability to enter data and generate reports

Job Duties:  

  • Receive/reply to requests for employment/termination verifications
  • Process/record employee performance evaluations
  • Distribute/Receive tablets for attendance tracking
  • Retrieves/delivers daily mail, bulk-mail
  • Assist/Backup Pulaski County HR recruiter, e.g., pre-employment paperwork and data entry for HRIS, interview applicants, administer on-site drug screenings
  •  Enters information on HRIS databases
  • Generates regular or as needed reports from databases
  • Relief for front desk reception
  • Maintains records/files according to agency policy
  • Ensures paper trail for activities
  •  Other duties as assigned
