Human Resources Technician

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or 3 years human resources experience
  • Word processing skills and database skills
  • Typing 50 wpm

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Knowledge of employment law related to FMLA, ADA, and unemployment
  • Ability to gather and compile information
  • Ability to organize and coordinate processes and activities
  • Ability to process materials in a timely manner
  • Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing
  • Ability to enter data and generate reports
  • Processes terminations
  • Administers Caregiver group health benefits
  • Administers Caregiver 401(K) benefits
  • Administers Caregiver pay increases
  • Administers Caregiver life insurance benefits
  • Administers ACA Compliance
  • Administers FMLA
  • Responds to requests for Family/Medical Leave and other approved leave and monitors absences
  • Employment Verifications
  • Enters information on HRIS database (e.g. Paylocity, Laserfiche, ABRA)
  • Generates regular or as needed reports from database
  • Maintains records/files according to agency policy
  • Ensures paper trail for activities
  • Backup for Workers Compensation
  • Backup for Unemployment Claims

Job Duties:  

  • Responds to requests for Family/Medical Leave and other approved leave and monitors absences
  • Processes terminations
  • Administers Caregiver group health benefits
  • Administers 401(K) benefits
  • Administers Caregiver pay increases
  • Administers Caregiver life insurance benefits
  • Administers ACA Compliances
  • Enters information on HRIS database (e.g. Paylocity, Laserfiche)
  • Generates regular or as needed reports from database
  • Maintains records/files according to agency policy
  • Ensures paper trail for activities
  • Backup for Workers Compensation

Additional Information:

  • Maintains regular attendance
  • Adheres to scheduled work hours
  • Notifies supervisor in advance when unable to report to work as scheduled
  • Meets deadlines
  • Manages own time to complete work within time frame

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm
