Home Care Recruiter

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school education or equivalent required
  • Associate degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
  • Two years’ experience in recruiting and interviewing required
  • Word processing skills and database skills

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Knowledge of employment laws related to interviewing, e.g., ADA, EEOC
  • Ability to conduct structure interviews
  • Ability to maintain organized and current records and files
  • Ability to process materials in a timely manner
  • Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing
  • Ability to enter data and generate reports

Job Duties:  

  • Meets monthly caregiver recruiting goals as assigned
  • Works with scheduling staff to identify needs for all counties served
  • Identifies sources and develops and maintains relationships with appropriate personnel for recruiting applicants with entities such as the AESD and Work Force Centers, vocational tech schools, churches, and other private and state entities
  • Participates in approved job fairs, places newspaper ads, and keeps job line current
  • Responds on a timely basis to on-line requests for employment information and applications
  • Schedules and conducts interviews with qualified applicants within established policy
  • Assures applicants meet all local, state, and federal regulatory requirements for employment prior to being employed
  • Assures that the hiring packet is completed on a timely basis to all Agency standards
  • Completes criminal history forms, requests payments of invoices, and forwards as required
  • Check references
  • Conducts new hire orientation
  • Schedules applicant for personal care aide training if appropriate and assures paperwork is completed for those completing class
  • Handles issues related to criminal history background checks
  • Completes PIN Enrollment for all new hires
  • Enters information into HR database
  • Completes reports as required on a timely basis
  • Maintains records/files according to agency policy
  • Ensures paper trail for activities
  • Monitors the inventory levels of applications and recruiting materials and reorders as necessary
