With food insecurity prevalent amongst older people and the senior population growing exponentially, CareLink leadership recognized the importance of a Meals on Wheels facility poised to meet the rising demand. Thanks to overwhelming support and generosity from the local community, the nonprofit raised the funds necessary to convert a former grocery store into a 13,000 square foot kitchen. The space is currently equipped to produce 1,500 meals each day for seniors in need, with room to expand to a 3,000-meal capacity.
In the decade since it’s grand opening, the CareLink Community Kitchen and Peggy and Joe Hastings Respite Center has made an undeniable impact, serving as a hub for many of the vital programs our organization offers.

At CareLink, we pride ourselves on being the resource for aging services in central Arkansas. We provide services designed to help homebound seniors remain independent as long as possible, active older people remain fit, healthy, and involved, and help family caregivers navigate the maze of available resources.
